Up for sale is a very old and rare Control Data Corporation Magnetic Core Memory Board from 1978.  This large board has two very large magnetic cores with a size of 8k x 36 total.  The board is in great condition with only minor scuffs and dust due to ago.  The core memory wires are all perfectly intact!  Beautiful silver traces all over the board and the red core memory wires!

Actual board is pictured above!

Will ship in bubble wrap to maintain integrity. No PO Boxes.

 1978  KIM-1 Hardware Manual  

The KIM-1 microcomputer was built by MOS Technology in 1976 and is a complete, self-contained computer including a small keyboard and six 7-segment character display units. It is built around the 6502 processor (also used in the Apple II), and has 1k of RAM, a TTY interface, an audio tape interface (for data storage) and an expansion connector (4k and 65k memory expansions were available). The KIM-1 was a popular micro for a long time, both in hobbyist and professional circles. In many university laboratories, for instance, the  KIM-1 was used for experiment control and data acquisition. Programming was done entirely in machine code.

There is a little writing and marks but not too noticeable.
